Playing is more than just fun for kids. It is essential for developement because it contributes to the cognitive, social and emotional well-being of children and also youth. At the education center, we give the opportunity for kids to relax and play with toys so that they learn how to work in groups, to share, to negotiate, to resolve conflicts,... A very big THANK YOU to Nicole Kraettli (journalist), Petra Lahann (recent Coordinator of the program), Andrea Neuhaeuser (member of the Friends of Masoala), Beer Visser (Volunteer), Mamy (Cepali) for donating pretty  toys that the children from the education center have never seen before. Photo: MM Photo: MM Photo: MM Of course, you don't have to spend lots of money to find toys, games,... but homemade toys are also great ideas to develop the kids skill. Do we need art in our lives?

Photo: J.R Photo: J.R Photo: J.R Photo: J.R There’s no doubt that arts are fun for kids. Arts can even be said as the best ways to help kids develop their view. Looking at their fingers using the paint brushes and making a beautiful picture to hang on the wall is extremely impressive. Kids in Andapa, (Ampoanaomby) were overjoyed when our team came up to teach drawing. It was awesome to see their pretty talent. We invited those kids to express their knowledge about lemurs without forgetting to inform them how  important is to save these creatures. "Every child is born creative. The challenge is to keep that creativity alive". -Kristina Webb
